The Sennheiser HD380 pro's were my top pick, but I did not want to pay the $200 price tag. So, I price matched the Beyer's and have not went back to demo them again. The comfort on those was very poor and the 'clamping' that everyone refers to is definitely a no for me. These DT 770's have it all for me. HD 6XX has very good imaging. You can definitely hear where the sound is coming from which direction, so you can still play FPS games with it without a problem even though the sound stage is so so. Same here. Happened twice to my DT-770. Luckily the 1st time I still had warranty so I could send them to Amazon and got a new pair. after 2 years buzzing returned. Bought a DT990 new. They started to rattle as well. Received a new pair. Before the DT-770 I also had the DT 1350. The right channel died after 2 years.
